(Ba,K)Mn₈O₁₆

This sample of hollandite is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Hollandite is a oxide mineral of manganese with barium and potassium. It has the composition (Ba,K)Mn₈O₁₆. The sample at left is about 8 cm across and is from Serra do Navio, Brazil.
